Integrity Second to None
A Testimonial from Bill and Nadine Walsh

Bill and Nadine Walsh"I am writing this letter because I feel compelled to tell you what a great job you and your company did building our dream house. I did my homework when deciding to choose a reputable builder and everyone who I spoke to had nothing but high regards for you and your ability, which I found out to be true while you were building our house. From the time that I first met you, to the completion of the house, you were always there if we had questions and you guided us through the construction process. You made the experience fun and memorable. Your integrity is second to none.

You would think that living in New York while the construction was going on would increase the stress level of building a house, but I can honestly tell you that I had NONE and that's because I had complete trust in you. Your knowledge, craftsmanship and great ideas made this a wonderful experience. So many people speak about having a house built as a nightmare - not so with you. If I have the opportunity to recommend you to anyone, you can bet that I will be your biggest advocate. The entire experience from beginning to end was a pleasure.

In closing I would like to thank you for building us such a fine quality home and making a lifetime dream come true for me and Nadine. Our home is truly beautiful. You were our builder, but now I can call you a friend!"

Unwillingness to Compromise On Quality
A Testimonial from David Faber

"On behalf of my family, thank you for building our home.

Your knowledge and experience made the construction progress along without incident. We appreciated that you were overseeing every step of the development, all the while keeping us informed.

Your attention to detail and unwillingness to compromise on quality has created a beautiful home that will continue to bring comfort and joy to our family and friends.

We are endlessly grateful that you built our wonderful home!"

Outside-the-Box Solutions
A Testimonial from Judy Coutts, AIA, Architect

"John is 'no-nonsense' yet has a wonderful sense of humor; practical and pragmatic and yet willing to think 'outside the box' in terms of design. Given his 25 years of experience in the construction industry, John is an expert problem-solver. During our working relationship, I came to respect John more than ever, and have no reservations recommending him."

Years of Industry Knowledge
A Testimonial from Michael and Samantha Wall

Michael and Samantha Wall"My wife and I looked for over 5 years to purchase the perfect piece of property to build on and when we found it we then searched for a builder that we could trust who did quality work. We had heard that building a new home could not only be a scary thing, but extremely stressful in the process. We connected with John Castle through a referral and we are so glad we did!

As we watched him build as well as interacted with him throughout the process we were thankful for his hard work, ability to hit deadlines and the opportunity to lean on his years of knowledge in the industry.

Without a doubt, I would recommend him without reservation and if my wife and I were to ever build again in the Central PA area, He would definitely be our builder!"

The Best Contractor in the Area: Integrity & Artistry
A Testimonial from Jennifer Keenan

Keenan Pets"After thirty years of living and working in San Diego, I decided to move closer to my parents in Hollidaysburg in preparation for my eventual retirement. My parents did the research to find the best contractor in the area, and they did not disappoint.

I will be the first to admit that after living with southwestern architecture for decades, I had become clueless about what was possible and/or required for PA. I began with a vague idea and a possible home from a website, and John took that idea and designed something that kept some of the elements that I loved about the southwest while blending the elements that I had come to love about PA. He created a home for me that couldn't be more perfect. I truly can't imagine living anywhere else now.

All I had to do was vaguely convey my intentions and John ran with it. For example, I wanted a "wall of windows" like I had in San Diego. He took that and made it better than what I had in mind by increasing the height of the windows in my living room and dining room to better blend with my double sliding glass doors. That feature and its fabulous views beyond has left guests temporarily speechless when they walk in my home. It still leaves me speechless sometimes. He strongly recommended a roof that partially covered my large deck, and I am so grateful that I listened as that strong sun can't reach me on those brutally hot days. I'm also able to sit out there and watch the rain in perfect comfort.

I also wanted to be sure that there would be a bedroom for my parents if they should ever need to reside with me, and he made sure that it was compliant with senior living. He was always thinking, and I came to know that trusting his suggestions would benefit me. There were no stupid questions. They were happy to explain even the most minute details in layman's terms to me. It increased my confidence in the process. Even my half joking comment about the possibility of a dog shower was taken seriously, and that dog shower that now sits in my amazing workshop is one of the most convenient amenities I could have in this home.

John and his people are perfectionists. Everything is done with absolute integrity. My family and I just began to label all of them as artists. Every step of the way, we would just sit back in awe. While my father was knowledgeable about home construction, I was not. There were many evenings when he would rave to me about the integrity and artistry of their work. I consider myself so fortunate to have had all of these knowledgeable folks working on my home.

I cannot forget Liz, the queen of the office. While I'm certain she has a different title, that is the way I will always refer to her. To say that she was organized and on top of everything would be an understatement. If I had a question or ten questions, I would just turn them over to her, and I would go about my day because I knew that she would provide clarity in a very timely manner. For my introduction to PA, I couldn't have met a better group of people. They represent this area very well."
